Reflection

Reflecting on 2009 -generally a rough year for many friends and family. I have a sense that 2010 will be more upbeat and positive. I for one hope to be more mobile with my new knee and renewed vigor. I am not making resolutions but I am naming some themes and general directions for the next year:

Buoyancy
Encourage my ability to savor
More appreciation
Little adventures
Reconnect with gardening
Rediscover travel
Remember-no judging

I hope all of you have great plans for 2010 and the zeal and will to live well and broadly; to
be kind and generous; and to find your muse and spirit all around you!!!

You've got some great things to remember for the new year--ones that I could use myself.

Wishing you a blissful year!

Joan and Lana,

Wishes of aloha and appreciation your way. "live well and broadly" ... a very nice mantra. I love that.

The muse has made a nest in the vardo so I think my job is to keep her comfortable and write.

Moki, Glad your muse is close by!
Writing can lift you and others; writing can transform; writing can heal...no teaching no entertaining no earthshattering thoughts.. just write -as it comes out the healing happens. You can do it most everyhere and even if no one ever reads it, you are helped!!!

Many blessings to you both. Hope you get your ss $$ and find a way to spend summer somewhere more natural.Yet I guess that mill town and the people in it are as good as any and can provide refuge and safety. I am laying low, staying away from flu sources and learning to be quiet and simple in my choices. Again our thoughts are with you and only the most cosmically auspicious days are
seen ahead. JT and LW
