Since we are bead makers and our newest line is all about personal shrines, we are making bead keepers. These shrines feature and hold special objects; in our case beads that we love and cherish. Look for them in July at the Bead Factory Bead Festival and also on line.
The many symbols we are using as a path for the new work are leading us to more and more research on ethnic and cultural myth, relics, artifacts.
We have made scarabs in the past but our new ones are based on historic sources. Clay and research are fun. Taking clay in a personal spiritual and cultural direction is exciting. We feel like explorers.
