Ellen Mahnken, Bead Artist

We at Off Center Productions in WA are so happy to have met Ellen Mahnken who lives out in the Catskills in a retreat setting any gnome or troll would love; imagine snowly birches and rock faces and Woodstock; right now all aglow with fiery maples. This amazing artist paints, fuses and paints glass, makes beaded jewelry and creates endless treasures using bead techniques.

I am so thrilled to feature some of her jewelry in which she has embellished our porcelain pendants.I feel very collaborative about this venture because while I seek out charming, unusual, and beautiful bead objects in my travels and at shows for her; Ellen dreams up magical necklaces using some of the parts I have found for us.
Ellen has the exquisite color sense of a painter and the ability to master the myriad of bead techniques.

If you want to see these necklaces in person and meet Ellen; stop by To Bead True Blue at the Off Center Productions Booth in the tent gallery in February in Tucson and see these wonders for yourself. We will have our porcelain pendants, beads and cabochons for you to purchase as well.
